Do Bidets Use Warm Water?
Warm water is one of the most popular features of a bidet. Warm water makes the cleansing and refreshing feel of the body wash spray even more luxurious. Electric bidets use one of three methods to heat or store warm water for each use:
Warm Water Cistern
The cheapest option heats a limited amount of water because it refills a small reservoir after each use. Most of the time, these tanks will hold enough warm water for 20 to 30 seconds before the water starts to cool. The size of the tank determines how much warm water you will get, larger tanks take up more space.
Hybrid Bidet Water Heater
These models use lower heater power than true instant heat models combined with lower power tank heaters. Hybrid bidet heaters tend to be more comfortable than tank heating systems because of the use of smaller tanks.
Bidet with Tankless Water Heater
These models use a powerful heater to heat the water instantly as it passes through the pipes. Provides unlimited warm water no matter how long the jet takes. Another benefit of a tankless water heater is that it only uses electricity when in use. Since this type of bidet does not require water storage, they do not have a water storage tank behind the seat.
If this is your bathroom choice, you're in luck!
