You may wish to consider sending your older loved one home. For some people, this is an ideal alternative to placing them in a nursing home. You may be able to provide your elderly loved one with their own private bathroom, complete with proper mobility tools and ADA-compliant options.

You can install a walk-in shower that is safer. You can also install a shower seat, grab bars are absolutely necessary. You can find specialized ADA-approved toilet seats that are easier to use. Also, consider using an electronic bidet, which will help your older loved one maintain good hygiene habits. Grab bars on either side of the toilet are also useful. Make sure the sink is easy to use.
