World Toilet Day
More than 4.2 billion people do not have access to safely managed sanitation facilities, and the consequences are disastrous. Lack of sanitation facilities is associated with increased incidence of poverty and disease, especially in developing countries where open defecation is most common. The World Toilet Day event aims to raise awareness of the global health crisis. The plan also focuses on providing support for Sustainable Development Goal 6 by 2030 to achieve universal access to safely managed toilets and clean drinking water.
World Toilet Day is an annual event aimed at raising people’s awareness of the global health challenge and mobilizing action to meet this challenge. The purpose of World Toilet Day is to provide people with information on how to help solve this problem by changing the behavior of their home, school, workplace, or community.
Everyone can play a role in improving sanitation conditions around the world, whether it is government, business, community or individual. Raise awareness of sustainable hygiene habits, so that more people consider improving their own behavior in toilet hygiene.
World Toilet Day is November 19th every year. This year's theme is Valuing Toilet.
