How do I replace the Flush Valve in a Concealed Cistern?
Although replacing cistern accessories is a plumber's specialty, sometimes we need to learn some simple replacements ourselves. Such as flush valve. The following article will briefly introduce the steps to replace the flush valve.
Remove the flush panel first by sliding it to the right and pulling it away from the wall. Then remove the fixing plate. Try not to lose the metal spring bit or you won't be able to hold the flush plate back in place. Grab one of the screws securing the tube and turn it counterclockwise until it moves freely. Now pull it out so you can remove the backplate. You can see two clips on each side of the box that hold it in place. In most cases, you can pull it out with your fingers, if it doesn't, use a flat-blade screwdriver to open the clip and pull it out. Grab the flush unit, lift it slightly, and pull the whole thing out. Grab the black clips behind the flush valve, press them together with two fingers, release the flush valve from the tank clip, and pull the unit out. When everything is fixed and then put everything back together.
