Five Different Types of Toilet Flush Systems
Introduced in 1596, the flush toilet has been a must-have in all homes ever since. Modern toilets are radically different from older toilets in terms of design, functionality and overall work efficiency. These new toilet flush systems have improved a lot. Below are five common flush systems.
Gravity Assisted Flushing. This flushing system uses gravity to pull water from the tank into the bowl. Waste stored in the toilet trap is also removed using the same gravity.
Pressure Activated System. The system also makes heavy use of gravity, but also utilizes the force created by compressed air to generate more significant flush pressures and powerful discharges. There is one downside to such flushing systems: they are very loud, which can be uncomfortable for some people.
Tornado Flushing This flushing system uses a combination of three water jets that appear at the top of the bowl, spraying water into the bowl and flushing waste. This system is very effective because it can generate a strong cleaning force with the help of three nozzles and can clean all the waste in the toilet without making too much noise.
Dual Flush System This system can be used with two options to use two different amounts of water and for smaller and larger cleaning jobs. A button or any other lever type controls the water options.
Single Flush System This flush system differs from a dual flush system in that only one volume of water is used each time the toilet is flushed. You can drain water from the cistern using a single lever or a button on top of the cistern.
Now you have a clear idea of the types of toilet flushing systems and understand the mechanism and purpose of each type. If you are still hesitating which cistern to choose, please contact us to learn more.
